150 Boxes of Rice and Medical Equipment Donation Empowers Essuowin, Ashanti Region

In a profound gesture of solidarity and commitment to community well-being, Dada Foundation-Ghana in partnership with Ghana West Africa Medical Mission (GWAMM) on 25 November 2023, extended a helping hand to Esuonwunu, a community nestled in the heart of the Ashanti Region. The donation, comprising essential supplies such as rice and medical equipment, was graciously received by the Chief of Essuowin, Nana Akyina Kwagyan Nuama V, who entrusted the items to the Head of the local hospital.

This collaborative effort aims to address immediate nutritional needs and fortify the healthcare infrastructure in the region. The donation recognizes the importance of robust healthcare infrastructure, a shared concern for our organisations.

The Chief, in a symbolic gesture, handed over these critical resources to the Head of the hospital. The medical equipment donation aims to enhance the diagnostic and treatment capabilities of the hospital, ensuring that residents receive quality healthcare. The medical equipment provided will undoubtedly enhance the ability of the facility to meet the health needs of its people.

The 150 boxes of rice donation were an effort to alleviate hunger, providing relief to families in need. Also, to meet the nutritional needs of the people, particularly pregnant women and children, a core concern of GWAMM and Dada Foundation-Ghana.

Esuonwunu, like many communities, faces challenges in accessing necessities, particularly during challenging times. The donation of rice, consisting of a substantial quantity of high-quality grains, seeks to provide sustenance to families grappling with malnourishment. The Chief played a pivotal role in overseeing the distribution to ensure that the aid reached those who needed it the most.

Dada Foundation-Ghana and GWAMM remain committed to the well-being of Esuonwunu and other towns, as we are actively exploring avenues for sustainable initiatives, including health education programs, ongoing medical support, and community empowerment projects.

We are open to donations to support any good cause. Click here
