Extending a Helping Hand to Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital’s Emergency Unit

On Wednesday, 8th May 2024, the Dada Foundation-Ghana stepped forward to support the emergency services at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Emergency Unit. The donated items were a substantial collection of vital medical items to bolster the hospital’s capabilities in handling critical cases.

The donated medical equipment and supplies were received from Ghana West Africa Medical Mission through sponsors and donors in the USA. Dada Foundation was the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) and collaborating partner for onward donation to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Emergency Unit.

Dr. Fredrick Kwarteng, the Head of Department at the hospital’s Emergency Unit, graciously accepted the donation on behalf of the hospital. Expressing heartfelt gratitude, Dr. Kwarteng emphasized the timeliness of the donation, citing its immediate impact on enhancing patient care and saving lives.

Accompanying Dr. Kwarteng during the handover was Mrs. Mavis Badu-Peprah- DDNS (dep. Director of Nursing Services) Mr. Issah Stannard Mahaha – Administrator, Mrs. Adelaide Addae – store manager, Dr. Henry Bulley – Specialist, Nadia Obiri Boateng- PR representative. Also present were some Nurses and Doctors.

The Dada Team was led by the Programs Director, Mrs Priscilla Fynn, accompanied by Mr. Emmanuel Amoah and Mr. Obed Donkor.

The event was attended by a host of dedicated nurses and doctors from Korle-Bu. Their unwavering dedication to their profession ensures that patients receive the highest standard of care, even in the face of challenging circumstances.
