The Wisconsin International University College (WIUC) marked a significant milestone with a grand celebration of the 85th birthday of Dr Paul Fynn, Chancellor of WIUC, and the official launch of the 25th anniversary of the university on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. The event brought together council and board members, faculty, management, staff, family, students, staff of Dada Foundation, and well-wishers to honor Dr Fynn’s life and the remarkable journey of the university.
The ceremony was filled with heartfelt goodwill messages from various distinguished guests, including family members, management, the Alumni Representative, the Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya Constituency, Madam Faustina Elikplim Akurugu, and many others. Their words reflected deep admiration for Dr Fynn’s impact on education and society.
In response to the messages, Dr. Fynn expressed profound appreciation. With gratitude, he reaffirmed the university’s commitment to academic excellence and community service, reiterating the essence of university education. Following the goodwill messages, the Registrar, Mr. Joel A. Idun-Acquah, and Nana Addae Gyamera I, Chief of Feyiase, took the stage to officially launch the 25th anniversary celebrations of WIUC, setting the tone for a year of reflection, celebration, and renewed dedication to the university’s mission.

As a result of your humility and compassion for the people of Ghana, we have partnered successfully with the Ghana West Africa Medical Mission, whose generosity has led us into medical outreach programmes to areas that have poor accessibility to basic healthcare, drilled nearly 100 boreholes in different regions across Ghana, provided scholarship opportunities for less privileged persons in the field of Nursing, built sanitation units, provided us with medical supplies and food aid.
